CO-OPERATIVE DAIRYING

THE MORRINSVILLE COMPANY At a meeting of suppliers of the Morrinsville Co-operative Dairy Company the chairman of directors, Mr F. W. Seifert, gave a review of the season’s operations, and laid stress upon the substantial increase in output, from 350 tons to 550 tons. Figures were also given showing a greatly * decreased cost of manufacture, which, Mr Seifert said, would have a gratifying reflection in the final payments for the season. The grading '-’ figures of the company for butter and cream had been very good. Although .. the advance of Is 3id a pound for butter-fat was not high, it compared ‘favourably w\th other companies operating in the district. A further reduction would be made in the bank overdraft this season of over £2OOO. More plant was necessary, and it had been decided to • instal a new freezer, butter packer and a further vat, in - anticipation of the increasing supply offering. The building would also shortly have to be enlarged.
