The Piako County Council passed a resolution of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr A. E. Torr, whose death occurred recently at Morrinsville.
Mr C. E. Macmillan, M.P., who has been attending the funeral of the late Mr Massey in Wellington, stopped at Te Aroha for the week-end on his return journey. He left yesterday morning for Tauranga, via Waihi.
