OBITUARY

MRS E. H. KENNEDY Many will regret to learn of the death of Mrs E. H. Kennedy, aged 54, wife of Mr F. H. Kennedy, of Somerstown, which took place on Saturday morning at 6 o’clock. The late Mrs Kennedy had suffered from heart trouble for % -number of years, and for some time prior to her death it had been necessary for her to have almost constant attention.’ On Friday morning when Mr Kennedy left for work, Mrs Kennedy was in bed, apparently sleeping, but later she was found to be in an unconscious condition, and she died without recovering consciousness at 6 o’clock on Saturday morning. Previous to coming to Te Aroha Mr and Mrs Kennedy resided at Westport (5.1.) for over 30 years, and they have resided in Te Aroha for nearly 10 years. Mrs Kennedy leaves five sons and two daughters—Clarence (Frankton Junction), James, Ernest, Jack and Frank Kennedy, Mrs Kelly (Denniston), and Mrs Cadigan (Dunedin). Requim mass was celebrated at the Catholic Church on Sunday, after which the remains were intered at the Te Aroha cemetery. Deep sympathy will be felt for Mr Kennedy and family in their irreparable loss.
