JOCKEY INJURED

TWO HORSES COLLIDE WITH CHAIN An accident took place on the racecourse on Thursday resulting in slight injuries to a jockey. Polonett, ridden by D. Beer, and Right and Left, ridden by G. McGregor, started out on a mile gallop, and after traversing about three furlongs found their way barred by a chain which, by an oversight, had been left across the track. Both horses fell. Neither horse was hurt, but Beer received slight injuries to his leg and shoulder. McGregor escaped injury.
