Mr S. Sellars, of Herriesville, has received notice of his appointment as a Justice of the Peace. At the meeting of the Piako County Council yesterday votes of sympathy were passed to the relatives of the late Mr Horn and Mr Rodgers, one of the Council’s employees who recently lost his child. Mr A. F. Drayton, managing director for Ashby, Berg and Co., Christchurch, and Mrs Drayton, who have been making a tour of the North Island are visiting Te Aroha and are the guests of Mr and Mrs Clothier, at St. Kilda, Ruakaka.
