You have thus given proof that we Germans are not compelled to drink the products of our enemies. We have liquors that vie with the best French Chartreuse. As a mark of his appreciation the Crown Prince sends the members of your firm autographed pictures of himself.” The letter is published in Munich papers as a proof of the discriminating palate of the Hohenzollern and as an example to Germans in the drinking* of German liquor.
