LONDON REPORT The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following message by cable from its London office, dated 11th January, 1924, advising the Smithfield delivered prices at that date as follows: New Zealand wethers and maidens, Canterbury quality, selected brands, 56/under, 57/64, and 65/72 all not quoted; other brands 56/under Bid, 57/64 Bd, 65/72 7§d. New Zealand ewes: 64/under 7d. New Zealand lamb, Canterbury quality: 36/under Hid, 37/42 lOgd, 43/50 9 id; seconds, lOd. Other brands: First quality, 42/under 9£d, seconds 9id.

New Zealand beef: Ox fores 3id per lb, ox hinds 4d per lb, cow fores 3d per lb, cow binds Sid per lb. Argentine chilled beef: Ox fores Sid per lb, ox hinds sgd per lb. Argentine frozen beef: Ox fores Sid per lb, ox hinds 4id per lb.

Mutton: There is a firmer tendency owing to shortage of supplies.
