WOMEN’S PATRIOTIC LEAGUE (Own Correspondent) The Manawaru branch of the Auckland Women's Patriotic Leegue held their usual meeting at Mrs Cronin’s residence on June sth. Takings for the day amounted to £3! Tho next meeting will bo held at the residence of Mrs W. Franklin on the 27th inst. The following goods were packed :—lB sanitary singlets, 12 sheets, 40 pillow cases, 21 towels, 1 flanuel shirt, 2 doz. pairs socks, 3 scarves, 3 pairs mittens, 1 doz. coffee and milk, 2 doz. cocoa, 2 doz. Highland milk, 3 doz. Symington’s soup, 32 packets of tobacco and papers.
