DESPERATE FIGHTING IN PROGRESS CREAT BATTLE RACINC London, April 25. Fierce battles are now proceeding on the Western float, each side struggling pard for victory. The Hiudeuburg line is of great strength, and fresh German troops are being poured iu to defend the position. They are fighting in the opon, and giving and taking hard blows. The crucial point of the struggle would appear to have b&cn reached, and much anxiety is manifested as to its outcome. So far the results are in favor of the Allies, who have made appreciable advances, and captured many prisoners. Several German destroyers have been damaged and put to flight by British airships. Reports continue to arrive showing that terrible battles are raging on the West front. The Geimins have never used greater numbers in counter attacks.
