(To the Editor) Sir, —Would you be So kind as to allow me a little space in your valuable paper, concerning an outlet drain. Some time back ' I had judgment against me for rates to t'ie Waitoa Drainage Board. The magistrate, in giving his decision, told me to approach the Waitoa Drainage Board, which I did, with the result that I cannot have the outlet. There was also a petition signed by adjoining settlers but no money is available now. This is only the continuation of their boycotting tricks. They did the same thing to Mr Henry and have been doing them to me for some considerable time. I have already lost a crop of turnips and have put the same paddock in grass, and if the outlet is not put in I will not be able to use it for grazing, nor yet will I be able to cut it up for bee-farming, as bees require a very dry paddock. Another thing, I might be able to cut it up for the returned soldiers as I woulddike to see our boys well treated when they return. Of course if the outlet is not done some one else will sell out before me and of course they will be getting all the praise for being so good to the returned boys, giving them a sectiou each for about £35 or £4O per acre. Anyhow, I have suffered this boycotting quite long enough.—l am, etc., S. McKibbin, Springdale.
