In view of the necessity to conserve the Railway Coal Stocks, a drastic curtailm nt of passenger and goods traiu services will bo brought into operation (if the coal strike still continues) on Monday, 23rd April, 1917. The travelling pub ic are strongly urged to avail themselves of the opportunity permitted by tho continuation of the present full service to complete contemplated journeys before Sunday, 22ud April, as after that date aud until further notice, travelling facilities will be strictly limited to the barest necessities. Booklets containing particulars of the proposed timetable will be obtainable at all stations at an early date. The Goods Services will bo limited strictly to tho absolute minimum required to provision the different localities. The Traffic to be carried will be limited to general merchandise, foodstuffs, perishable articles, firewood, mining props, chaff, wool for shipment, livestock required, shooks for fruit, butter and cheese boxes, coal, coke and natural manures. Goods other than those mentioned will not be accepted for transit. The issue of week-end tickets is cancelled on aud after Saturday, 21st April, 1917. BY ORDER.
