ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS The following letter has been received by the Town Clerk from the Y.M.C.A. War Work Committee, Auckland :—“ I have to acknowledge with thanks yours of the 2nd inst., covering cheque for £SO for the Y.M.C. A. War Work Fund. I have much pleasure in congratulating Te Aroha as being the first town to send us a donation, and with you, hope that you will be able to double the amount already sent. —Chas. Rhodes, Chairman. Mr Wild also received the following letter from the Belgian Consul : “ I am in receipt of your letter of the 31st ult. enclosing cheque for £22145. I nofe that this is from the Te Aroha School children and the residents of Te Aroha. Will you convey to both the children and the residents my very warm thanks for this assistance to the Belgian Fund.—Alex. M, Ferguson, Consul for Belgium, Auckland.
