Technical Students’ Social
AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING On Friday evening the students attending the evening classes of the Technical School brought the work of the session to a close by holding a Social, which proved to be a most enjoyable and successful function. The gathering was held in the Cookery Department, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and although the large attendance taxed the building to its utmost capacity, the programme of games and dances was carried out in a very , popular manner, During the evening songs were rendered with most artistic expression by Mr Kelly and Miss Biggs, and the lady students earned much appreciaiton by the able manner in which they dispensed refreshments to the large company present. Much of the success of the Social was undoubtedly due to the efforts of Mr Bruce Cumming who acted as M.C. “as to the manner born,” The thanks of the students are also due to the Supervisor of the Technical Branch, Mr J. P. Kalaugher, for kindly offering the use of the school building.
