JpiAKO COUNTY COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER AUTHORISING THE RAISING OF SPECIAL LOAN OF /850 FOR COMPLETING THE METALING OF EASTPORT ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given tnat the Piako County Council at a Special Meetirg, held on WEDNESDAY, the 18th day of August, 1915, adopted the following Resolution as and for a Special Order to be confirmed at an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held at the County Office, Te Aroha on WEDNESDAY, the 15th day of September, 1915 at 11 a.m. SPECIAL ORDER IN PURSUANCE and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Section 16 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913,” “The Counties Act 1908 ” and its amendments and of all other Acts and powers it in that behalf enabling, and with the written consent of the Ratepayers in the Eastport Road Special Rating Area hereinafter described, testified by a petition signed by not less than three fourths of the Ratepayers in the said Rating area, the unimproved value of whose properties as appearing on the Valuation Roll of the District is collectively greater than the unimproved Value of the properties of those Ratepayers who do not so consent to the raising of the Loan ; The Piako County Council resolves by way of Special Order as follows :—That for the purpose of completing the metalling of Eastport Road the Piako County Council ereby authorises the raising of a Loan of EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS from the Superintendent of the State Advances Department bearing interest and sinking fund at the rate of 4» per cent, being with half yearly instalments £5 12s 2d per annum for a period of 36a'years, or until the loan is fully paid ''off, and does hereby further authorise and declare that the first year’s interest and cost of raising the same shall be payable out of moneys so raised.

BOUNDARIES OFTHE SPECIAL RATING AREA ALL that area of land in the Waitoa Riding of the County of Piako commencing at a point where the boundary line between the County of Piako and the County of Ohinemuri crosses the Waitoa River at Section 12, Waitoa Estate, along such County boundary in a westerly direction to the Ohine Creek, thence southerly along the Ohine Creek and coni tinuing southerly along the I western boundaries of Sections 24. 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 of the Waitoa Estate to No, 2 JEoad,' thence continuing southerly "by a right line in direct continuation with the above western bonndaries across Section 8 of Waitoa Estate to the Waitoa River thence along the Waitoa River in a generally northerly direction to the point of commencement.
