IN AID OF ‘‘HOSFITAL SH IP ” FUND A most successful Social was held at Mangaiti on Friday evening last under the direction of Mr and Mrs C. Mudgway. A splendid .floor had been pre* pared, and excellent music was played by Mr H. Grattan and Mr D. Spence, with extras by Mr Lynch and others. Songs and duets were interspersed with the dances by Mrs Newsome and Mr B. Gardner, and songs were also sung by Mr Lynch. The evening was a great success and the proceedings were not brought to a conclusion until about 3.30 a.m.
