A MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR.

W. N WILLIS FOUND STABBED.

Sydney, April 27. W. N. Willis, the leading figure in the late land scandals, was found stabbed in the scrub near Randwick about midnight. The affair only loaked out this afternoon.

Willis was alive, but unconscious. There were two wounds iu the left breast, Clark, trainer for Willis, states hftgL was at his cottage last night, left there late in cheerful spirits. The affair ia mysterious- Willis was to have appeared in Court today in connection with the cases in which a man namod Daley is charged with attempting to extort money from Willis.

The Judge ordered Willis to show cause for failing to appear on his subpoena. Later on the news of the tragedy leaked out.
