The Turkish Upheaval.

Constantinople, April 25. A thousand were killed and wounded in the attack on the Taxirn barracks alone, but at other points the casualties were comparatively few. A message despatched at midnight stated that Constantinople was never known to be so quiet. It is stated that once the military situation is cleared an inquiry into the authors of the revolt will be undertaken and in this the connection of the throne with tha uprising be considered. London, April 25. It is difficult even in Constantinople itself, owing to the state of seige to ascertain what is occurring at the place, but Reutt-r’s Salouica message despatched at six last evening stated that after Tashkisla, Matchka and Taxirn barracks had been captured a garrison of yielding Kiosk surrendered unresistingly. Reuter’s 8 o’clock Constantinople message on the other hand stated that the capture of the garrison would be extremely difficult, and that the Yieldiss Kiosk possesses a rtillery that may be able to give a good aocount of itself. Other positions already ~ captured are not provided with artillery. * An official stales that the position ns far as order and security is concerned is perfect.
