(From own Correspondent.) JUDGE DENNISON. Wellington, Yesterday. Government have agreed to Judge Denniston’s request for nine months leave. Contingent arrangements are being made to supply the vacancy on the bench. YACHT RACE. The first-class yacht race was won by the Waitangi, APPOINTMENT OF MESSENGER Mr A Sampson, one of the oldest messengers in the Government service has been appointed head messenger vice Mr Hewitt resigned.
