The wire rope for the tramway (specially imported from Home, and tested to stand a strain many .times in excess of what it will have to bear), is now, lying at Te Aroha railway station.' Mr Johnson", under whose direction tlie eerial tramway is being erected, has been away for so.nie little dme on the West Coast, but is expected back here shortly; in fact is, we understand, now in Auckland, o,n his way to Te Aroha.
