MORRINSVILLE.

The Blue Ribbon meeting held at Morrinsville on Saturday evening last was a great success in every way. The attendance was very lnrq-p, the school house being packed. Mr Hy. Bnttle ably presided on the occasion, ami after the moeting hail been duly oppned, the following programme was submitted and carried out in a manner most creditable to nil who took part : — Uocitntion, " Little soldier," Master W. 13ryant ; song, "Swanee river," Mrs Snell ; readinsr, " Winks and Blinks," Mr Chmt ; glee, " Look not upon the wine," the Olioir ; recitation, " Alice Gray," Mr Fred Ilorrell ; song, " Kiss me and I'll go to sleep," Missßremner; song, "Joe Perkins," Mr Bryant ; recitation, Master Bobbie Bryant ; duofc, '• My Mother," Miss ITorrell and Mrs rfnell ; glee, " Brave soldiers hear," tho Choir ; song, " Stand like the Brnve," Roy. S. Lawry ; dialogue, "Troubles of a Bachelor,' 1 performed by the Misses Horrell (2), and Miss Barry, and Messr3 Fred Hon^U (the hachelor), W. Innes, A. Warren, "and^ E. Horrell, blasters Warren and Whitburn.;.song, "Mother's Grave," Mr W. Innes "Balaklava," Mr A. Bremner*;^jfM|g, " Some people you meet," MrA. Warren ; recitation, Mr Nelson. At the close of the ordinary meeting, the half-yearly meeting of members was held, llev S. Lawry presiding. ' There were about twenty members present. The secretary read the report and balance sheet, which was adopted. It showed a credit balance, and that seven new members had joined during the term.
