SLAVERY IN AFRICA. Berlin, December 15.
The Reichstag has, by a large majority, adopted Herr Windhorst's motion, pledging Germany to suppress the slave traffic on the East African coast. In referring to the question, Count Herbert Bismarck, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, highly eulogised England's assistance in the same direction. He advocated enrolling zooo natives to garrison the coast and the towns where it is known that the trade is carried on. The Reichstag expressed itself in favour of Germany adopting a spirited policy in this direction.
