Colours and Shades.
There are no striking novelties in colour this season. The golden brown shaded of the summer are repeated with the addition of a bright gold colour, which will probably replace the suede tints so popular during the past. Florentine green in olivine tones and brighter verdure green are prominenb coloui's for autumn and winter, and are repeated in felt hats, ribbons and trimmings. There are many cardinal felt hats shown, and the|, 'absence of cardinal colours among; the nultiners^would point to the fact' thafc they Virile! trimmed generally with black. The t^tS^cptta shades this season' partake of a CTiMIon fone, and include a bright etruscan red'and eienna, thereddish brown of the artistes colour box. Electric shadesjfe of blue,' verd'cle gris, a green ishVgrey; a n^l|l two silvei\v shades of grey, compose the f* range of colours imported for millinery?' 1 * Two-toned effects and shades shown in rib- '**' oons indicate that'shaded eflects will nob " bo ftbancloned. and thf\iT bonnets witoh trimmings in a lighter shade^bf the same colour without contrast may be")>opulav.
