The place is par excellence, the SANATORIUM OF THE PEOPLE. The CLIMATE in its HEALTH-GIVING PKOPERTIES is unsurpassed ; the COST OF LIVING is exceedingly MODERATE; and the locality is e.isy of access by uivkk, kail, ou road from Auckland and tho Thames. In addition to these advantages tbeie are fi>r the Robust abundant means of enjo} ment in BOATING, RIDING, AND DRIVING, while for those in delicate health the neatly laid out Domain foims a most pleasant l esnrt. The following analysis of the Waters by Mr J. A. Pond, Colonial Analyst, and the accompanying extracts from Ijib repoit thereon to the Domain Board, will be read with interest. These Waters are all 1 feebly alkaline and strongly charged with caibonic acid gas, which is constantly escaping from the Springs in large quantities. The. Lithia, a valuable constituent of these Waters, is present in an appreciable quantity. The Analysis show these Springs to be very sin, ilas| in composition.
