LATEST OHINEMURI MINING NEWS Thames, Last Night. Tenders were received by Mr Melliose this afternoon for 35 tons of tailings from the Adeline G.M. Co.'s mine at Kuiangahake, and nbout 10 tons of tailings from the quartz for the Diamond G.M. Co., as follows : Adeline : Climo, 15s Gd ; Lovatfc, £i 14s ; and Brown, £2 15a. Diamond : Climo, £2 ; Lovatt, £2 13s ; Brown, £3 18s. The tender of Mr Brown has been accepted for both lots. Paeroa, Last Night. Karangalmke.- Adeline : The manager of this mine received a wiro last night coimteimanding the order to send quaitz to K<ii ley's plant, and instructing him to forward it on to|the Thames for treatment. So far I have not been able- to learn the cause of this sudden change of programme, but there is no denying the fact that it is by no moans calculated to encourage local industry. The propiietois of Rniley'a plant have gone to considerable expense in its construction, and they ure not meeting with that amount of encouragement from local mino-owners which their enterpi ise deserves.

MARKETS. Auckland, Last Night. At Buckland's horse sale to-day some medium draught colts fetched £12 apiece, about 90 horses being offered. At Hunter and Nolans weekly sale, 160 horses were offered, prices being about as follows: Oidinaty backs, £4 to £6; heavy draught, £15 to £20. At the city market to-day fair prices were obtained^for poultry, lamb (sides'), went at the astonishingly low price of 2s per side.
