TE AROHA HOT SPRINGS.

AS a SUMMER RETREAT not one among the SANATORIA of New Zealand is so rapidly becoming famo u s as TE AROHA. The celebrity of its HOT SPRINGS is extending throughout the length and breadth of the Colony, and the WONDERFUL CURES effected by the Waters in cases of RHEUMATISM, GOUT, LUMBAGO, LIVER, AND KIDNEY COMPLAIisTS, INDIGESTION, and Kindied Ailments, are gratefully testified to in the Vi^itois 1 Book b\* Hundreds of Pd-sons who by their use have been rc-toied to Health aud all its enjoyments. The place is 2 KU ' ex - cellence the SANATORIUM OF THE PEOPLE. The CLIMATE in its HEALTH-GIVING PROPERTIES is unsurpassed ; the COST OF LIVING is exceedingly MODERATE; and the locality is easy of access by iuver, rail, on road from Auckland and the Thames. In addition to these advantages theie are for the Robust abundant means of enjoyment in BOATING, RIDING, AND DRIVING, while for those in dclicatejiealth the neatly laid out Domain foims a most pleasant lesort. The follow ing analysis of the Waters by Mr J. A. Pu.vn, Colonial Analyst, and the accompanying extracts from hi& leport thereon to the Domain Board, will be read -with interest. The Samples were taken from the Springs, as numbered, the temperatmvfe of which ranged fiom lOodegs. to llOdegf.. Total solid mattor 857.829 822.18 1 811.7Q2 Results expressed in grains per gallon. These Waters are all feebly alkaline and strongly charged with caibonic acid gas, which is constantly escaping from the Springs in large quantities. The Li Una, a valuable constituent of these Wuteis, is present in an appreciable quantity. The Analysis show these Springs to be very sin ilar in composition. These Mineral Waters are exceedingly interesting, and will piove of great value medicinally. They closely lesemble some of the European Mineral Springs so justly celebrated, more especially those of Vichy, Eirs, and Fachingen. Their Curative Value will be greatest in Rheumatic and Arthritic Diseases, Calculus, Affections of the Kidneys, and Dyspepsia. You may rest assured that all you can do for your Springs in the bhape of improving the facilities for their use, is entirely justified by the character of the water
