NOTICE TO RATEPAYERS, TE AROHA RIDING. rriHE Piako County Council propose, X under the provision of "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 188G," to Borrow, by way of Special Loan, a sum of Money for the purpose of undertaking certain Public Works within Te Te Aroha Riding ; and this notice is given in accordance with Sec. 140 of ''The Counties Act, 1876." 1. The particular works proposed to be undertaken — Making and Completing the Road from the northern to the southern boundary of the Te Aroha Riding, beine: the main Te Aroha-Shaftesbury and Gordon Special Settlement Road; also, a portion of Bridge Street near the Railway Station, Te Aroha, and the Cross Road from Murphy's Landing on the \\ aihou River, through Wilson's Section and the Waiorongomai Township, to KiJgour Street, Waiorongomai. 2. The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purposes is £1500. 3. It is proposed to pledge as security for such Loan a " Special Rate'" of One Farthing in the £ upon all Rateable Property within Te Aroha Riding, such Rate to be an annually recurring Rate, and to be payable every year for a period of twenty-six yeara. SPECIAL ORDER BY THE OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Council of the Ohinemuri County, held on the 13th day of November, 1880, the following Resolution was passed :—: — "That the Provisions of the 'Local Bodies Loan Act, 188G, 1 be adopted generally within the County of Ohinemuri, by Special Order." And I further give notice that a SPECIAL MEETING of the said Council will be held in t'le Council Chambers, Cassrels Stieet, Paeroa. on FRIDAY, the 24th day of December, at 12 o'clock (noon), to confirm the above resolution.
