Important Speeches in the Bouse of Commons. London,- August 25. The debate on the Addrees-in-Reply was resumed in the House of Commons today. Mr Parnell proposed an amendment requiring the suspension of evictions in Ireland during the winter months. In his speech he warned the Government that its policy would lead to disorder, and ultimately to the necessity for coercion in Ireland. Mr Gladstone criticised the policy of the Government, which he characterised as dilatory and futile. The debate stands further adjourned. London, August 26.— 1n the debate in the House of Commons to day, ou the motion on the Addr«Bs-in -Reply, Mr Cham berlain urged that the preeent Government should not be overthrown while the alternative was the appointment of a Ministry which favoured the separation of Ireland from Great Britain. Suppression of Boycotting. Major-General Sir Eedvers Buller has proceeded to Ireland to organise measures for the suppression of boycotting, and to inquire into the working of the land system.
London, Augunt 31st. 21b Michael Davitt, in the course of a speech, eaid that evictions in Ireland would be resisted at any cost.
