TE AROHA HOT SPRINGS* A 8 a SUMMER RETREAT not one among the SANATORIA of New Zealand is so rapidly becoming famoii3 as TE AROHA. The celebrity of its HOT SPRINGS is extending throughout the length and breadth of the Colony, und the WONDERFUL CURES effected by the Wafers in eases of RHEUMATISM, GOUT, LUMBAGO. LEVER, AND KIDNEY COMPLAINTS, INDIGESTION, "and Kindled Ailments are gratefully testified to in the Visitoi-s' Book b} r Hundreds of Pe.-sons who by their use bave boon restored to Health and all its enjoyments. The pl«ce is par e*xccllenca tho SANATORIUM OF THE PEOPLE. The CLTMATR in its HEALTH-GIVING PROPERTIES is unsurpassed ; the COST OF LIVING is exceedingly MODERATE; and the locality is easy of access by river, kail, ou road fioin Auckland and the Thames. In addition to t4ie.se advantages there are for tho Robust abundant means of enjoyment in BOATING, RIDING, AND DRIVING, while for those in delicate hearth the neatly laid out Domain foiniH a most pleasant rewort. The following analysis of the Waters by Mr J. A. Pond, Colonial Anal}-st, and the accompanying extracts from his report thereon to tho. Domain Board, will be lead with interest. The Samples were taken from the Springs, as numbered, thp temperatures of which ranged from Iosdegt>. to 119degs. These Waters are all' feebly alkaline and strongly charged with catbonic acid gas, which is constantly escaping from the Springs in large quantities. The Lithia, a valuable constituent of these Waters, is present in an appreciable quantity. The Analysis show these Springs to be very similar in composition. These Mineral Waters aro exceedingly interesting, and will prove of great value medicinally. They closely resemble some of the European Mineral Springs bo justly celebrated, more especially those of Vichy, Ems, and Fachingon. Their Curative Valuo will be greatest in Rheumatic and Arthritic Diseases, Calculus, Affections of the Kidneys, and Dj spepsia. You may rest assured that all you can do for your Springs in the shape of improving the facilities for their use, is ontiroly juKtjfied by the character of the water.
