The Hawkesbury Autumn Handicap on Saturday, resulted in a length victory for Mr 3. McGile's b g Lancer, by Westminster—Linnet (7st), Bonnie Bee (6at 81b), boing second, and Ceriso and Blue, (7st 31b), third. Twelve horses started. Time, 2mins 38^secs. The day's amusement was marred by a fatal accident which occurred to a jockey named Flanagan, who was thrown from his horso and killed. At the Hutt (Wellington) races on Saturday, Hermitage won the principal event, and Miss Dargon the Consolation. •^5, Colonel Fraser has disposed of the colt by Musket - Fancy that he bought at the last N.Z. Stud Company's sale to an Australian gentleman, whose name has not transpired. The price said to be paid is 800 guineas.
