\V c all have had our yearly share . Of pains, and -grief*, and sad vexations, For grim old Care oom'e se very where, And claims us j>s his near relations. But purely Some bright hours have come Of hype and $oy, of peace and beauty j Some welcome ray ha» cheeked our wfcy. And lighted up the path of Duty. Some blessings have been scattered round, Some drops of mercy have been showered, Some heavy chains have been unbound, Some clouds have passed that darkly lowered. Let friend and foe, let age and youth", Let weak and strong d<aw nigh together^ And spread the wing ot social truth Without bne rough or broken feather. Tis fit thajfc such a time as this Should link us closer to 6ach other, To spread the circle of our bliss Until it reach our poorest brother.
