DEATH OF KRUPP.
Auckland, October 6. Mr A. E. Harris rec3ived a telegram from his trainer J. Chaafe, early in the forenoon, stating that after a long suffering Krupp died this morning. On the news becoming known, it caused quite a sensation in sporting circles throughout the day, and on all sides the greatest sympathy was expressed for his OAvner. It is indeed a serious loss to him, for besides his many valuable engagements, and the big chance he had of appropriating the Christohurch Derby, I am informed that it is only three weeks ago since he was offered £1,000 for the colt. Mr Harris has telegraphed to Mr J. Marshall requesting him to have the contents of Krupp's stomach analysed.
