According to the opinion of the readers of the Melbourne Sportsman, Midwinter is the best all round cricketer m Australia ; he polled 1207. G. GiiTen 1181, Garrett 382, Evans 321, .Scott 304. Midwinter is also selected as the best all round cricketer m Victoria, having ldS'2 opposite his name. Garrelt heads the New Souih Wales cricketers with 20G3, Evans Jos3, Bannerman 221, Murdoch 204- For the best all round man m South Australia, G. GiiTen has completely out-distanced all others, scoring 37»53 votes, Jam's r>f>, Noel 43.
Tne features of the late Intercolonial match, Victoria v. New South Wales, were the bowling of Evans a'jd the batting of Bannerman and Moses. Bannerman, says the Argvls, never batted with greater spirit and determination, or more attractively ; lie at times surprised the Victorians with the rapidity of his run getting. His hitting all round being well timed and remarkably clean ; when he had almost nuxde n century, lie unluckily played a ball on to his wicket. Moses' display of batting cannot be too highly spoken of. He played a true and correct game all through.

next. Flowers and Ulyefct, two well-known cricketers, have joined the English cricketing team which visits Australia. The team is a very strong one.
The highest individual innings ever made m Australia was made recently by W. Burce, 328 not out.
