CHAMPIONSHIP CONGRESS. Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 28. The New Zealand Chess Congress was officially opened to-day. There ore eight competitors in .the championship. The hours of play hove been fixed as follow:—" 2 p.m. to 5.15 p.m., and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Adjourned games will be played out between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
