STRIKE STILL UNSETTLED.

Dec. 28, 9.55) SYDNEY, Dec. 28, Notwithstanding the recommendation of the Transport Workers' Federation that trie stewards should resume work, it & understood that the strike will not'De declared off till after the New Year holidays. A section of the Trades Hall officials, who are involved in the strike, intend asking the Rt. Hon. W. M. Hughes to appoint a special, tribunal on the same lines, as the coal tribunal to determine.the issues. It is estimated that 20,000 are directly unemployed throughout the Commonwealth as a result of the strike.
