CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. A continuation was made 10-tluy, on the United Club's greens, of the Canterbury Croquet Association's championship meeting. The following are details.— OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. First round: T. F. Chambers beat S. R. Holmes In two straight games, 28-4, 20-14; H. ,T. Williams beat E. A. Johnson in two straight games, 20-0, 20-13. Second round: T. F. Chambers beat Miss Gerard, 26-1, 26-2. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. • First round: Mrs E. Smith bent Miss Gerard, 20-201 Mrs Horton beat Mrs McClurg, 20-5. CLUB PAIRS. First round: Mrs Horton and Mrs J. W. Beanland beat A. Ross and Mrs MurrnyAynsley, 20-23: E. A. Johnson and Mis Crawford beat Mrs Fletcher and Mrs Pegler, Second round. Mr and Mrs J. W. Lill beat R. Caughley and Mrs Richardson, 20-22; S. McCullough and Miss Smith beat 8. R Holmes and Mrs Tyers, 20-18; E. J. Boss and Mrs Smith beat Mrs Midgley and Mrs Maddren, 20-11. CANTERBURY HANDICAP. First round: R. Caugley (scr) beat Mis Maddren (3 bisques), 20-18. Second round: Mrs E A. Johnson (21 beat Mrs Laurie (7), 20-24: K. A. Johnson (2) bent Mrs Richardson (3), 20-19.
