UNOFFICIAL HONEYMOON.
! "My husband has taken another wife, giving her a wedding ring, and taken her a honeymoon," a woman complained to the Willesden magistrate. "And leaves you to starve, I suppose? " said the magistrate. "Oh, no," said the woman, "he allows me £2 10/- a week, hut I object to him keeping another wife." The Magistrate: What is this prosperous man who can keep two wives and two homes going? The woman: He is only a working man, but he can earn good money. The Magistrate: If you take proceedings in this Court the utmost you can get is £2 a week, and you say you are getting £2 10/- now. Tho woman: I would rather have £2 legally through the Court than £2 10/from him in this way. The Magistrate: Very well, you can take proceedings for desertion.
