TODAY'S STOCK SALES.

RANGIORA. The yarding of sheep at the Rongiorn stock sale this morning totalled. 1168, being 77 fats and 1091 In the store pens. The attendance was small, and the sale slack, prices showing a further decline. Following are the principal sales:— Fat Lambs—Account client, 2 23/-, 3 passed at 20/-. Fat Wethers—Account Blunden's Estate, 10 27/- to 32/8; A. Metherell, 5 33/-; C. Sutherland, 5 28/1; H. Barker, 17 29/ i. Fat Ewes—Account A. Metherell, 12 23/9 to 20/-; A. W. Foster, 7 24/-; C. Sutherland, 4 26/3; Mrs M. A. Brown, 11 woolly hoggets 25/-. Store Sheep—Account clients, 155 four and six-tooth wethers passed at 26/3, 150 four-tooth wethers 26/-, 107 two-tooth ewes 24/1, 75 two-tooth wethers 19/6, 56 fat and forward four-tooth wethers 27/5, 41 twotooth wethers 20/0, 41 two-tooth wethers 20/6, 47 two and four-tooth wethers 27/8, 63 two-tooth wethers 14/-, 65 two-tooth ewes passed at 17/6, 105 two-tooth wethers passed at 19/6, 49 four and six-tooth wethers passed at 28/-, 64 two-tooth wethers passed at 18/-, 6 woolly ewes and 9 lambs 20/- all counted. ASHBURTON. There was a fair attendance at the stock sale held at the Tlnwald Yards to-day. The fat sheep totalled 229, comprising 156 ewes, 52 wethers, four hoggets and 16 lambs. Fat ewes sold at firmer prices, hut inferior lines dropped to as low as 15/6 for four woolly ewes. Sales eifected at auction were:— Ewes—2o at 30/-, 8 29/6, 19 29/-, 16 27/-, 7 18/6, 9 (woolly) 17/5, 8 34/3, 10 29/7, 5 25/8 and 4 15/6. Wethers—Fight 34/6, 5 80/6, 10 30/-, 4 29/9, 10 29/6, down to 28/- and 27/9. Eight lambs were sold at 30/6, and hoggets at 29/-. 27/6 and 20/-. The cattle pens contained 16 head of fats, afad there was a good yarding of stores. Fats were easier, especially cow beef. In the stores, scraggy and old stuff -was neglected, but anything of fair quality attracted buyers. Sales in fats were:— Steers £2l 10/-, £2O 15/-, £l3 10/-, down to £9; heifers £l4, £lO 7/6, £8 15/-, £7; cows £l2 15/-, £ll 15/- and £lO.
