The report of the Medical School Officer for London for 1919 is cheering reading, for it reports the lowest deathrate among children ever recorded. During the year more than 300,000 children were medically inspected, and 169,200 received treatment. The general condition of children as regards nutrition and cleanliness was distinctly better in the year before the War.
