MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
MISHAP AT RANGIORA. CAB AND CYCLE IN COLLISION. About 6.30 last evening a collision took place at the intersection of the East Belt and High Street, Eang.ora, between a motor-cycle and side-chair andm motor-car. The motet-cycle was driven by Mr A. J. Breach, Ashley Street, Rangiora, who had with him his wife, two children, and a lady friend. The car, which was returning to Rangiora from tho direction of Woodend, was owned by Mr A. Prestney, and was being driven by Mr S, Devlin, an employee. Mr Breach was proceeding south along the East Belt and struck the motor-car side-on. The occupants of the side-chair were thrown out, and one of the children, a girl aged five, sustained a fracture of the thigh. The other child received injuries to the head, and the adults were I bruised and shaken. Tho side-chair was wrecked, and tho head of the frame of the motorcycle damaged. The child with the broken thigh was removed to the Brocklehurst hospital and was attended by Dr T. A. Will. CYCLE OVERTURNS. Through skidding on the tramlines in the cutting near the Burwood church, a motor-cycle and side-car overturned, throwing the occupants, Mr and Mrs W. J. Gill, of 44 Somerfleld Street, somewhat heavily. Mr Gill was injured \ about the face and Mrs Gill on the. arm. The front wheel of the motorcycle was buckled. Mr and Mrs Gill wore admitted to the Christchurch hospital, and are now making satisfactory progress. ANOTHER COLLISION. The above is one of many collisions reported in these columns during the past 12 months.
