NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENT. "Vindcx."—Houses, like most other tilings, .-ire subject to the law of supply and demand. If it docs not pay to huild a house and rent it, then there is bound to be a scarcity of houses, and rents will rise till house property once more becomes a payable investment. It is a hard world, and the fool government that deliberately and of set purpose makes house property unprofitable is merely accentuating the evil it professes to be concerned about.
