m RICHMOND HILL CLUB. On Saturday-afternoon the first round of the Richmond Hill junior championship was played, and resulted as follows:—E. T. Menlove defeated L. H. Roberts, F. C. Malpas defeated T. Goufih, Major R. A. Row defeated L. Stevens, lies defeated Earnshaw, D. N. Roberts defeated L. B. Scott. The final of the Bawnsley Cleek was also played, and resulted in a win for Mr and Mrs J. E. Stevens, with a score of 7 down, the runners-up being Master J. D. Lawrence and Mrs Lawrence, with a score of 8 down. HAGLEY CLUB. At the Hagley Club's links the final of the Meares Cup was played between A.. W. Reeves and J. Wyn Irwin. Irwin won two up and one to play. A bogie handicap, plaved on the same links, resulted as follows:—R. T. Tosswill (8), one down; J. R. Montgomery (8), four down; T. D. Herman (12), six down. The junior grade of tlm. bogle handicap resulted as follows:—P. Greenwood (II), five down; S. G. Atkinson (16), five doWti; W. M. Angus (lfi), six down; A. Graham (18), six down. CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. Eight members of the Christchurch Club qualified for the Borthwick Vase. Two competed in the first of the finalists' series on Saturday. They were Macfarlane and Anderson, the former winning by five up, with four to play. AVONDALE v. HAGLEY. Representatives from the Hagley Club tried conclusions with members of the Avondale Club on the Avondale links, Haigley winning by 2(M to 6}. Totals: Hagley 6, Avondale 5. Ladies' Two-ball Match.—Miss Harris lost to Miss White, Miss Cotton beat Miss Rowe, Miss Morton beat Miss Baxter, Mrs Guthrie beat Miss McMillan, Mrs Fisher beat Miss M.
