RACING AT RICCARTON. CONCLUDING DAY'S SPORT. The Grand National meeting was brought to a conclusion on Saturday, under wintrv conditions. Though little rain fell, the weather was bitterly cold, while Friday's rain had lert the track very holding. Under the circumstances the attendance exceeded expectations, and altogether the meeting was one of the most successful ever held at Riccarton, from a whiter racing standpoint. Betting was again very spirited, the sum of £08,102 heing invested, as against £50,828 on the concluding day last year. Tor the meeting the figures were £213,175, as compared with £107,811.
