The Russian armistice terms demand a maximum Polish army of 50,000 and the demobilisation of the remainder within a month. It is not required that the arms shall be surrendered to Russia. No troops or war material shall be Imported, and war industries shall be demobilised. The families of Polish war victims shall receive free grants of land. In return, Russia agrees to withdraw her troops to the frontier. The final frontier of Independent Poland is to be mainlv in accord with the British Note of July 20. with thß additional territory of Jhalystok and Kholm. Russia demands the use for commercial purposes of the Polish line of communications to the Baltic. Russia agrees to considerably reduce the number of Russian trops on the Polish frontier. London political circles are of the opinion that the Russian terms are a satisfactory basis upon which the Poles may negotiate. Therefore, the recess of the House of Commons will not be postponed. The House will adjourn on Thursday. Polish circles indicate that the disarmament demand is impossible, because Poland would thus place herself at the Bolsheviks' mercy.
