Sir, —I read the following in a paper last week:— "Dr Eleanor Baker said tha\ there was a great deal of foolishness in regard to the dress of children and young girls, and that the prejudice, pride, superstition and ignorance of parents were hard to overcome.’’ I know that it is the fashion to say, nasty things about , one’s employers, and in this Dr Baker has shown herself no exception. • What has Dr Baker tried to do towards removing this prejudice, pride, superstition and ignorance? I have had a girl attending a primary school for six years, and another one for three years, and, up to date, have not, either by report or lecture, received any advice Dr Baker on how to suitably dress children or young girls,—l am, etc.,
