SCOTLAND OVERLOOKED.
To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir,—l notice that the Public. Works Department are erecting an electric New Zealand flag in front of the Government Buildings in Cathedral Square. Doubtless the effort is a worthy one, but it would have looked far better if provision had been made in the Union Jack for the cross of St. Andrew. The designer should have remembered that red lamps make a white background red at night. Trusting that the department have yet- time to remedy this "indignity" to poor old Scotland.—l am, etc., CALEDONIAN.
