LYTTELTON CLUB.

ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED. In the Lyttelton Club Hall last evening a most enjoyable entertainment, in the nature of a peace reunion and smoke concert, was held, while the unveiling of a roll of honour of members of the club who had taken part in the War was also an important part of the proceedings. There was a large attendance, including: Colonel C. J. Cooper, Captain Evenden, Captain W. G. Caston (of the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade), Captain Showman (Waitemata), Captain Sellars (Cano - pus), Lieutenant A. Stevens, Key. F. L. Frost; Messrs W. E. Leadley (secretary of the Returned Soldiers’ Association), E. Brown, and J. H. Collins, besides a number of guests from Christchurch. During the evening the following toasts wore honoured; “The King,” proposed by the chairman (Mr W. T. Lester); “Our Guests,” the president (Mr E. H. Green), responded to by Captain Evenden; “Kindred Clubs,” Mr F. S. H. Warner; “The Ladies,” Mr E. H. Henderson; “Boys that Went West,” the chairman; “The Lyttelton Club,” Mr T. Charters; “The Army and Navy,” Rev. 5* L. Frost; “The Mayor and Borough Couneilldts,” Mr A. K. Smith; “The Press,” Mr J. J. Gower; “The Chairman,” Mr E. H. Henderson.

The president in a short address of welcome referred to the part takeu in the War by the 21 members of the club who had so nobly respouded to their country's call. He asked the chairman to unv#il the roll of honour. The chairman said that while he had had the privilege of unveiling a number of 'rolls of honour lately, it was more of a pleasure on this occasion, inasmuch as not one member had been lost in y the great conflict. The names on the roll of honour, which is the artistic handiwork of Mr T. Gellety, are:

L. Davis.

During the evening musical items were rendered by Messrs J. Cocks and R. Harrison, Sergeant A. J. Sinclair, Messrs If. Lane, I'. Jones, R. Harrison, Byd Avers, and recitations by Messrs A. Young and P. Jones, and monologues by Mr H. L. Moody. The accompanists were: Messrs F. S. 11. Warner and H. L. Moody.
