QUEEN ALEXANDRA'S BIRTHDAY.
Press A ssoclation, WELLINGTON, December 2. Ilis Excellency the Governor-General cabled to Queen Alexandra on her birthday, which occurred yesterday:— "I desire to associate myself with the Government and the people of New Zealand in wishing your Majesty many, happy returns of your birthday." Her Majesty replied:—"Will you please accept and convey to tho Government and the people of New Zealand my grateful thanks .for their kind congratulations upon the occasion of my birthday. I shall never forget the* splendid part which New Zealand has taken in the Great. War."
