MOTOR SMASH.
THREE PEOPLE INJURED. Pre** A ftsneiatio n. AUCKLAND, November 2!). As the result of a collision between a motor cycle with side-car attached and a motor lorry in the Khyber Pass Road last night, the three occupants of the cycle and side-car were admitted to the hospital. Miss Elsie Carbines, of Grey Lynn, had a fractured skull and her condition is serious. Robert Neill Viekerman, of Remuera, fractured jaw and broken leg. Miss Caralie Hunter, shock and slight injuries to leg. Ernest Bedford, the driver of the motor lorry, states that just about dusk he saw a motor cycle approaching at a fast pace and gave it room for a clear run on the tram rails. The cycle, howiever, collided with the lorry, head on, 'and the occupants were violently thrown out. The cycle was completely wrecked. ANOTHER~COLLISION. The above is one of many collisions reported in these columns during the past twelve months. These collisions are certain to cost the car owner a considerable sum unless we take the risk under one of our comprehensive policies.
