RAILWAY NOTICES. CHRISTCHURCH RACES. Special trains leave Christcliurch for the Racecourse on Monday and Wednesday at 10.35, 10.55, 11.5, and 11.25 a.m., and Racecourse lor Christchurch at 4.43, 5.22, 5.32, and 5.52 p.m. All except the 11.25 a.m. from Christchurch will stop at Addington. 5112 BY ORDER. XT E W ZEALAKD RAILWAYS. CHRISTCHURCH SHOW AND RACES. TRAI% - ARRANGEMENTS. On November Bth, 10th, 12th, and 15th there will be a frequent train service Christchurch to Racecourse and back. On November Bth, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, and 15th, the afternoon train for Waikari, Bennetts, and Oxford leaves Christchurch at 5.45 p.m., and arrives Waikari 8.58, and West Oxford 8.41 p.m. The evening train from Christchurch to Rangiorn leaves Christchurch at 6.15 p.m. The afternoon trains from Christchurch for South Line and Branches will start as under:—■ Tor Midland and WhiteeliiTs Branches at 5.10 p.m., arriving Springfield 7.57, and Whitccllffs 8.0 p.m. For Ashburton and Methven at 5.30 p.m., arriving Ashburton 8.12, and Methven 8.57 p.m. For Southbridge and Little River at 6.0 p.m., arriving Southbridge 7.50, and Little River 8.10 p.m. On 10th and 12th November the afternoon train from Southbridge to Christchurch will start at 4.30 p.m., and run 25 minutes later than usual. On November 14th trains leave Christchurch fOr Show Grounds and Show Grounds for Christchurch every 15 minutes from 10.30 a.m. to 6.0 p.m. A special train for passengers from Kaiapol, Belfast, Papanui, Bryndwyr, and Riccarton only will leave Kaiapoi at 9.5 a.m., Christchurch arrive 9.57 a.m. A, special train for passengers from Ra'ngiora, Southhrook, Flaxton, Chancys, .and Styx only will leave Rangiorn at 8.55 a.m., Christchurch arrive 10.10 a.m. The morning train from Waikari will start at 7.35 a.m., Christchurch arrive 10.20 a.m.; takes passengers from all stations up to Ashley inclusive, then sets down only where required. The 7.42 a.m. Rangiora-Chrlstchurch, and 5.10 p.m. Belfast-Christchurch trains will not run. The train which usually leaves Christchurch for Rangiora at 5.15 p.m. will leave at 5.4 p.m., Rangiora arrive 6.25 p.m. A special train will leave Christchurch for Rangiora at 5.25 p.m., Rangiora arrive 6.46 p.m. The 5.4 and 5.25 p\m. trains from Christchurch take passengers for all stations up to Rangiora inclusive, nlsn for Eyrcton and Oxford 1 ing train for passengers for north of Rangiora will leave Christchurch at 5.47 p.m., Waikari arrive 9.17 p.m. It will not take passengers for stations up to Rangiora inclusive, nor for Eyreton or Oxford Branches, and between Christchurch and Rangiora will stop only to take up passengers for stations north of Rangiora. OXFORD BRANCH.—The morning train from West Oxford to Christchurch will leave at 8.12 a.m., Christchurch arrive 11.5 a.m. Takes passengers from Oxford Rranch only. Passengers for Oxford Branch can return by trains leaving Christchurch at 5.4 and 5.25 p.m., West Oxrord arrive 8.22 p.m. The 10.5 a.m. Rangiora-Oxford, 2.50 p.m. Oxford-Rangiora, 12.15 p.m. OxfordSheffield, and 1.30 p.m. Sheffield-Oxford trains will not run.

EYRETON BRANCH.—The morning train from Bennetts to Christchurch will leave nt 8.29 a.m., Christchurch arrive 11.5 a.m. Takes passengers "from Eyrcton Branch only. Passengers for Eyreton Branch can turn by trains leaving Christchurch at 5.4 id 5.25 p.m. SOUTH MAIN LINE.—The morning train from Methvcn starts at fi.-lf) a.m., Itakuia 8.10, and arrives Christchurch 10.3 a.m. It takes passengers from all stations up to Burnham inclusive, and sets down where required. The morning train from Ashburton starts at 8.5 a.m., and arrives Christchurch 10.37 a.m. After leaving Chertsey it will stop only to set down. A special train leaves Tiniaru for Christchurch nt 7.10 a.m., Christchurch arrive 11.27 a.m. Takes passengers from stations south of Ashburton for Addington or Christchurch. The evening train for Methvcn will leave Christchurch at 4.55 p.m., Methvcn arrive 8.25 p.m. This train will stop where required to pick up passengers for stations Burnham to Methven inclusive, and where required, south of Rollcston, to set down. The evening tra'n for Ashburton leaves Christchurch at 5.35 p.m., Ashburton arrive 8.17 p.m. This train does not connect at Rakaia with the train for Methven; it takes passengers for south or Rakaia only, and stops where required to pick up such passengers. A special train will leave Christchurch for Oamaru at 9.15 p.m., arriving Oauiaru 0.15 a.m., 15th. It will stop at any station south of Templeton to. set down passengers. The 7.10 a.m. Christchurch-Tslington and 5.15 p.m. Islington Christchurch trains will not run. SOUTHBRIDGE BRANCH.—The morning train from Southbridge leaves at 8.15 a.m., Christchurch arrive 10.27 a.m.; alter leaving Lincoln this train stops only to set down The evening train, for Southbridge Branch leaves Christchurch at 4.40 p.m., arriving Southbridge 0.45 p.m. This train will not take passengers for Little River Branch. The afternoon train from Southbridge to Christchurch starts at 4.28 p.m., arriving Christchurch 0.18 p.m. LITTLE RIVF.R BR/ The morning train from Little River will start at 8.40 a.m., Christchurch arrive 10.50 a.m. Takes passengers from stations up to Hornby inclusive and sets down required. The train for Little River will start at G.O p.m., Little River arrive 8.15 p.m. It stops where required to pick up passengers for Little River Branch. MIDLAND & WHITECLIFFS BRANCHES. - The afternoon train for Midland and Whitecliffs Branches will leave Christchurch at 5.15 p.m., Springfield arrive 7.57, and Whitecliffs 8.0 p.m. METHVEN BRANCH.—The morning train from Methven starts at 0.40 a.m., and arrives Christchurch 10.3 a.m. It takes passengers from all stations up to Burnham inclusive. The evening train for Methven will leave Christchurch nt 4.55 p.m., Methven arrive 8.25 p.m. This train will stop where required to pick up passengers for stations Burnham to Methvcn inclusive, and where required south of Rollcston to set down. EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS. On 15th and 17th November a fast express train leaves Christchurch for Dunedin at 8.45 a.m., arriving Duncdin 4.58 p.m. Passengers should travel by this train, as the 12.25 p.m. express train will not have room for all. These express trains will take passengers for and from certain stations only. GOODS TRAFFIC. Trains for Exhibits returning from the Show will leave Christchurch as under:— Nov. 14th.—For Stations South of Timaru at 9.15 p.m. Nov. 15th.—For Cheviot and Oxford Branches at 7.20 a.m.; for Culverdcn at 9.0 a.m.; for Springfield and Whitecliffs at 0.0 a.m.; for Southbridge at 10.0 a.m. Live Stock Exhibits returning must be brought from the Show Grounds to the loading platform in train order—that is, all for the train due first must be brought out and loaded before any for the second train, and similarly all for each succeeding train in order of time. Stock offered out of train order will not be dealt with Complete and correct railway certificates must be presented al the time of consigning the exhibits. No allowance can be made if this Is not done. On the 14th November the Goods Sheds at Lyttelton and Christchurch, and the Goods Delivery Yard at Christchurch will be closed.
