The Australian military authorities' inquiry in reference to the Waimana has begun before General Wisdom (president) and LieutenantColonels Murphy and Witham (members). The Court visited! Tilbury, examined the Waimana,, inspected thp uncovered wharf | where the women and children suffered great discomfort owing to rain and exposure, and also examI ined the tender which was employed ■to convey the passengers from the 'wharf to the Waimana, and to two other vessels lying in midstream. The tender also maintained the ferry I service. It is anticipated that the inquiry will be completed at the j week-end.
